I custom ordered my wedding invitations. However, my best friend recently got married and created her own invitations with the help of the web. I can honestly say her invitations were far nicer than my expensive invites from a professional. Also, she created the cover of the invitation to match the decorations on her wedding cake. It was different and added a really nice touch. I have attached the site for your viewing. Congratulations!

A friend of mine recently just got married and she made her own cards, it was nice and cheap . A cousin tied a knot a few months ago and she got her invites from http://www.uprinting.com/ the quality was amazing but a bit pricier. I guess it depends on your budget and time frame.

I was getting married on a short time frame, and I needed wedding invitations immediately. Most printing companies require at least 3-4 weeks lead time, so I had no choice but to make the invitations myself. At walmart in the craft section, or possibly an office supply store, you should be able to find a wedding invitation kit with the RSVP cards, and possibly even matching thank you cards. The do it yourself invitations are very professional looking although I probably destroyed 1/4 of the package changing ideas and so forth. There is a website where there are templates available to give you the look of professional cards.

When you mention "wedding" attached to anything, people will normally charge you extra. As far as wedding invitations, and everything else attached to a wedding, the professionally designed invitations are probably not worth it. That being said, if you are getting married, do you really have time to spend a couple of days designing cards, and so forth. It is not for everybody, but if you have the time and are on a time or budget crunch, you can definitely get the look and feel of professional invitations with a wedding invitation kit.

I tried making my wedding invitations but ran out of time. I still wanted them to be hand made, so I went to http://Etsy.com/ and got so many compliments about how beautiful they were. American made too! :) If you have the time, DIY, if you are a procrastinator like I am, use Etsy. :)

If you want to make your own wedding invitations, you can do it two ways.

First. you can go to any craft store and buy DIY wedding invitiations. You can get them cheaply when there is a sale or a coupon.

You can also go to many websites on the internet and make your own wedding invititations. While I never ordered my wedding invitiations online, I did create my own baby announcements online. They came out adorable!

Good luck making your own wedding invitations!

You can do this pretty easily just design it on your computer and which is easier said than done because there are so many good designs out there. Once that is done though you can email your design to the printer and have them print them up as many as you want. Make sure that you personalize them because that's part of designing your own is that you get to kind of personalize it. So, good luck on your wedding congratulations.
