Should a man participate in the wedding preparation, or simply show up on the wedding day?

Do you think man should have a say in what dress you select, the wedding invitations, the guest list, the reception arrangements, his tux; or should he simply show up on your wedding day and meet you at the alter?

I think a man should most definately participate in the preparation of the wedding, i think it would take the stress off of " the what if(s)", you both can make the decisions together what works and what doesn't , that way its not so one sided. Besides you can have fun doing it, and may stop Bridezilla from showing her face....lol!

Many grooms-to-be enjoy helping with the planning of their wedding. It is great when a couple can pool their energies and creativity, to design a wedding that truly represents their personalities and the things that they enjoy. Putting a wedding ceremony and reception together is a lot of work, but it can be fun, and even romantic, to select items such as the invitations, venue, menu, and decor together.

Men normally contribute to the decision making but the female usually has the final say. As far as the dress goes, that should be totally up to the female. A man participating in the preparation shows that he is a willing participant and not just being dragged along for the ride. When a guy sits back and shows zero interest in preparing, it makes me wonder if he even really wants to get married.

Most grooms now like to be part of the planning.

If the groom has no interest he can just show up.
