The hostess. If you parents are paying for the wedding, their name and address should be on the return label. If you are hosting the wedding, you would use your name and address.

Congratulations!

Whomever is hosting the wedding should have their name as the return address. This will allow for the host to count RSVPs as they come in, and communicate with the wedding planner or caterer as to final numbers.

Actually you don't need to put a name on the return address, the simple address will do. But if you want to put someone's name it should be the bride's parents if they are hosting the event or the bride if she and the groom are.

Traditionally, the bride's parents would be the ones inviting the guests, so their name and/or address would go on the return label and envelopes. However, now it is much more relaxed (I've even gotten an invitation with an email address for RSVP). Whoever will be keeping track of the guest list and wedding details would be the one to have on the address labels. Really, it's totally up to you. Have fun!

Answer 7/8 - Submitted 5/4/2010

The return address is the party that is hosting the wedding so they may keep a head count of accepted invitations. Usually it is the Brides parent or guardian. Today it can be the couple themselves if they are living together and paying for the wedding. Whoever sends out the Invitations, receives the R.S.V.P.

Answer 8/8 - Submitted 1/7/2012

The person or people that are paying for the wedding have their name on the return address envelopes.
